Aged care laws in Australia have now changed. The new Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Rules 2025 now apply. While the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission complete updating of their website, including draft guidance and other materials, to align with the new laws, providers are advised to refer to the new Act and Rules for any required clarification of their obligations and legal responsibilities. To assist you to navigate through the requirements now required for the care of older persons links have been added below to the different pages on the Aged Care Quality Standards website. There is no requirement to be a member of Quality Aging to access these resources.
